Run The Valley 5K/10K Race and 5K Walk
Run the Valley, the Golden Valley Human Services Foundation's (GVHSF) annual 5K/10K race and 5K walk, has become a successful fundraiser for organizations that benefit the community. The GVHSF allocates the funds to local human service organizations.

Awards
Commemorative medallions are given to the first place male and female runners in each age category (under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+) for both the 5K and 10K Runs. Walkers do not receive awards.
Registration
The entry fee is $20 before March 1, $25 March 1-April 8, and $35 the day of the race. No refunds.

Runners may register in person by Friday, April 9, at Brookview Community Center, 200 Brookview Parkway (M-F, 8 am - 4:30 pm; April 8, 8 am-7 pm; April 9, 8:30 am-3 pm). - By Phone, Mail, or Fax

Runners may register up to three days before the race at Active.com. - Race Day
Register at Davis Community Center at Meadowbrook Elementary (5430 Glenwood Ave) on race day between 7:15 and 8 am.
Water stops and post-race complimentary snacks will be provided. Runners’ times are posted at the end of the race, at raceberryjam.com, and andersonraces.com.

Run the Valley 2009 Draws 500 Participants
The 15th annual Run the Valley 5 - 10K Run and 5K Walk drew nearly 500 runners and walkers April 4 to compete for medals and raise funds for the Golden Valley Human Services Foundation.
The event raised about $10,000 for the GVHSF, which allocates the funds to local human service organizations that benefit the community.
All participants received Golden Valley T-shirts, and medallions were awarded to the top three finishers in each age group.
Corporate sponsors included Liberty Carton, BNC National Bank, Morrie's Cadillac and Saab, and Cable 12. Sponsors included Byerly's Golden Valley, City of Golden Valley, Einstein Bros Bagels, Golden Valley Rotary, Great Glacier Water, Old Fashion Donut Shoppe, Perkins Family Restaurant, Valley Pastries, and Yoplait USA.
The GVHSF thanks all who participated.
